2. Eligibility for Application

  A. Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation
  • Applicants must be foreign students (not Korean citizen) whose parents are also foreigners who had university diploma or who have completed their 16 years of elementary, junior/middle, and high school, university in foreign countries are eligible to apply for admission.


3. Application Procedure

  1. Document Examination : Evaluation of applicant¡¯s ability for graduate study based on university transcripts, Plan of study and English ability for all four years


4. Forms to Submit

All documents must be written in Korean or English, Documents written in any other language must be accompanied by official or publicly certified translation

  1. Application form (prescribed by Handong University) 1 copy - (Submit the application form after accessing through online starting from 17 Oct.)

  2. Self-introduction form (prescribed) 1 copy (Download - MS Word 7.0)

  3. Plan of study(2~3 pages, A4 size) 1 copy

  4. Letter of Recommendation(prescribed) 1 copy (Download - MS Word 7.0)

  5. University transcripts(for 4 years) 1 copy

  6. University diploma or certificate of pending graduation 1 copy

  7. Diploma or Graduation Certificate of elementary / junior high school or Parents' foreign citizenship document(ID or passport - copy) 1 copy - Only Graduate School (General Studies)

  8. Copy of applicant's passport(or ID, if no passport) 1 copy

  9. Document of proof for academic achievement(TOEFL, IELTS, Teps)

  10. Certificate on Proof of Family Members and Whole household Birth Certificate

6. Notes for Applicants

  1. All documents must be written in Korean or English, Documents written in any other language must be accompanied by official or publicly certified translation

  2. All documents must be written in English

  3. Submitted documents will not be returned.

  4. Admission can be cancelled if any part of submitted documents should be different from truth.

  5. Admitted applicants should pay registration fees during the registration period or the admission will be cancelled

  6. More than one application to Handong Global University is not allowed.

  7. Applicants must check Handong Global University's Internet Homepage at "http://www.handong.edu" to check every schedule related to notification of admission, interview, and information for admitted students.
