HanST (March)
"Handong Spirit Training" (HanST)--is the Freshman Orientation program which takes place at the beginning of each school year. It is a weekend full of special programs and events to introduce freshman and new students to the Handong Global University family. There are speeches and seminars, praise and worship services, prayer, games and team social activities, and much more. Students have a chance to meet the President and faculty, other new students, their team members, and upperclassmen who assist with the program. Also, the upcoming school year is committed into God's hands through corporate prayer.

Open House/Spring Festival (May)
The spring festival during which dormitories and students' rooms are open for all to see-parents and friends can visit to enjoy the Spring Festival. Men and women may visit each other in their dorm rooms. Students clean their rooms (or don't) and awards are given for the cleanest and dirtiest rooms.

Teachers' Day (May)
At Handong relationships between professors and students are close. Teachers' Day provides an opportunity for students to express their love for professors and instructors.

Purity Ceremony
Once every semester students have an opportunity to make a covenant with God to remain pure in spirit, mind, and body. The present world prefers to pursue sexual pleasure and lust. Yet at Handong, there is a ceremony called the "Purity Pledge." Each semester Handong men and women who desire to exercise abstinence commit their decision to the Handong community and to God. Many students participate, seeking to remain faithful to themselves and to their future spouse. They long to stay pure in spirit, mind, and body.

BBQ Parties
Students and faculty gather together around barbecue grills to enjoy food and fellowship.

Chang-Mun/Fall Festival (October)
The fall festival is a time for students to take a break from studies and to demonstrate their creativity as each department hosts special demonstrations, displays, or events of students' work. Music, art, food, and many cultural performances add to the festivity of the event.

Handong Day of Prayer (October)
A day on which the students, faculty, and staff of Handong gather throughout the day to pray for the school, the community, the nation, and the world.

Handong's City-Performance Night
Students show their talents in a special performance event for the Pohang community.

Farewell Party (December)
Professors and students gather to visit, celebrate, and pray for God's blessing upon one another before saying farewell for the year.
