Sunlin Hospital is the largest general hospital in Kyungbuk Province. It has assets of over 100 billion won, 600 beds, and treats 400,000 patients each year. Kim Jong Won, the founder of Sunlin Hospital, donated the hospital to Handong Global University to expand Handong's vision by establishing a medical school at Handong Global University. Plans for the new medical school are currently underway.
