1. Purpose
- To pray that Handong Global University will become a university that is conformed to God’s sovereign plan.
- To experience joy and gratitude for answered prayers and the fulfillment of God’s will and plan.
2. History
- In March of 1996, when the recently established Handong University was experiencing difficult times, parents from each region organized the Handong Parents Association to support the school through prayer.
3. Organization
- President, vice-presidents (25), general affairs committee, secretariat, accounting committee, and 75 regional prayer meeting groups comprise the Association
4. Activities
- Praying daily for requests that from both Handong professors’ prayer meeting and the Parents’ Association.
- Organizing school promotion activities and providing prospective students with admission information.
- Participating in the activities of the Handong Fundraising Committee.
- Unification of professors and students through sponsorship, support of student government, recognition of faculty, and etc.
