HGU’s Office of International Affairs (OIA) hosts off-campus experiences to help international students learn more about Korean culture and history. Each semester OIA organizes excursion to historical cities and the DMZ (Demilitarized zone).
Handong Student Government also organizes various excursions to different locations in Korea, such as Gyung-ju, an ancient Silla Dynasty's capital and Busan, Korea’s second largest city.
Excursion: Korean Industry
HGU’s Office of International Affairs (OIA) organizes an industrial excursion to International students.
Students will have a opportunity to visit POSCO, the world's 4th largest steel company, Samsung Smart City and Hyundai car manufacturing plant.
K-pop Dance, Korean Language and Korean sports
- K-pop Dance club and Girl's Hiphop Dance school are among several fun cultural experiences taught by HGU students, every semester.
- 1:1 tutoring in Korean language by Korean students is provided at no charge.
- Korean language learning for credit is available at no charge. It offers 5 different levels, from beginner to advance.
- Taekwondo, a Korean traditional sports, is offered for credit at no additional charge.
