HGU 22nd Student government (president Kim Gi-chan) is hosting the 10th Love Marathon on upcoming 13th 9am at Hwanho Haemaji Park.
The Love Marathon, which consists of about 600 people including HGU students, able-bodied and disabled Pohang citizens, is an event that divides people into groups of two and whose goal is to complete the 5km Haemaji Park course.
This event which is held for the 10th consecutive year since 2008, is co-hosted by PohangMBC, GyeongBuk Sports Association for The Disabled, and by the HGU 22nd Student government.
The slogan of this competition is ‘Walk together, Love each other’ which meaning is a wish to love each other in the process of completing the marathon together.
Performance from HGU student clubs including Girls' acappella, cheering squad, Cheonpunghaese(taekwondo), Zizzy (a Dance club) and GyeongBuk Sports Association for The Disabled who will also be playing as unit events. Also, after the marathon, there will be some time for everyone to enjoy the various booths together and make precious memories.
The 10th Love Marathon is an event that is prepared by 25 HGU students as the TF team. The team is consists of 6 smaller teams: Marathon team, Helper team, General affairs team, Booth team, Stage team, Promotional team. Im Gang-Lim(Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, 14), the director student of this event said “I hope this event will deepen the understanding of each other, and that all participants make enjoyable memories.”
HGU 22nd student government’s president Kim Gi-chan who conduct this event said “As the Love marathon passes its 10th anniversary. I think it is a much more meaningful event for our school, which is a tribute to love, modesty, and service. I hope this good culture will continue to happen in the following years.
