Handong Global University's AMG club team won third place (bronze award) in '2017 KSAE Baja/Formula/EV' held at Saemangeum Gunsan Motor Racecourse for three days starting from August 10th.
This competition is co-hosted by the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE) and Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) and is organized by KSAE Baja/Formula/EV Organizing Committee.
A total of 2,381 students in 180 teams from 102 universities participated in several categories including Baja off-road part, Formula on-road part, and Electric Vehicle part.
Im, Min-Sik (Senior, School of Mechanical and Control Engineering) said, "I have learned from the preparation for this competition that there are many that can never be comprehended without actually experiencing them, and this has served as an opportunity to realize the value of communication and cooperation." He added, "I also want to thank all who provided support to the preparation for and outcome from this competition including School of Mechanical and Control Engineeirng Professor Lee, Chong-Sun; School of Contents Convergence Design Professor Cho, Won-Chol; Lee, Sung-Yeon (School of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering student); Cho, Ik-Hyun (School of Contents Convergence Design student) and so on.
Meanwhile, this club team under School of Mechanical and Control Engineering Professor Lee, Chong-Sun's supervision is being operated by a support program for undergraduate clubs of convergence majors as a part of Handong Global University's CK-1 Project.
