On the 24th, Chang Soon Heung, the president of Handong Global University, visited the Ambassador, Cho Tae Yul, of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations in New York during a visit to the United States.
On this occasion, President Chang Soon Heung and Ambassador Cho Tae Yul discussed domestic and international issues such as global citizenship education, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and the North Korean nuclear issue.
Handong Global University, which is a UNAI (UN Academic Impact) Global Hub University and the hosting university of UNESCO UNITWIN (UNESCO University Twining and Networking), is working on the development of the world, such as expanding the education of global citizens and fulfilling the goal of sustainable development in cooperation with the United Nations such as specialized international education. In addition, the university is actively promoting research and various activities on North Korea and unification.
President Chang Soon Heung said, “It was a valuable time for me to meet Ambassador Cho Tae Yul, who is a great devote to the national affairs and the forefront of the diplomatic efforts of the Republic of Korea, to discuss global issues. Handong Global University will put more effort to solve the problems of the world and to produce human resources that contribute to human development and world peace.”
