HGU Donation for Education Center (Director JaeYoung Lee) and Korea Institute for Animal Welfare Education (Chairman EunWoo Lee) signed an agreement for ‘Business Agreement on Educational Donation Vitalization and Educational Cooperation’ on January 31st, 2018.
Gyeong-sang Province Educational Donation Center of HGU Academic-Industry Cooperation Foundation consistently discovers educational donation institutes and organizations within Gyeong-sang Province (Gyeongnam, Gyeongbook, Daegu, Busan, Ulsan) in order to foster regional educational donation entities and is taking an active part in developing programs tailored to specific institutes and in matching suitable recipients with active programs.
Under the agreement held at Korea Institute for Animal Welfare Education in Gyeongju, two institutes agreed to cooperate with: ▲ Creating and spreading educational donation infrastructure ▲Providing educational donation programs ▲Supporting the development and management of educational donation programs ▲Matching and promoting educational donations.
Korea Institute for Animal Welfare Education, which has professional manpower in various fields such as animal assisted therapy, animal behavior, counseling, animal assisted psychology, and veterinary practice, is arranging customized programs for various age groups and clients, which are based on scientific professionalism in regards to the positive effects animals bring to humans, etc.
Under this agreement, Korea Institute for Animal Welfare Education will provide various educational donation programs related to animal assisted therapy such as: ▲’My dream is to be a veterinarian’ ▲’My younger brother/sister’ (All animals are precious lives) ▲ Animal assisted anti-smoking education ▲Confidence and self-esteem improvement programs for adolescents in Gyeong-sang Province.
SookHee Jung, head of HGU Donation for Education Center, stated, “Under this agreement, I expect that many teenagers in Gyeong-sang Province growing up under certain psychologically and emotionally conditions will improve in society through animal assisted programs. Our center will put a substantial effort in matching adolescents seeking [psychological and emotional support offered by] animal assisted programs.
