-The announcement of a paper on the study of various development issues and solutions by Asian and African officials
Handong Global University (President Chang Soon-Heung)’s 'ICT-based Global Creative Innovation Talent Promotion Team*' (hereinafter referred to as 'Internationalization Business Group' and director Ahn Jin-won) held a symposium on international development cooperation with the Handong Global University Graduate School of International Development and United Nations Business Group. It is meant to be one of the "2018 Asia-Africa Week" events to raise awareness and accountability about Asia and Africa as global citizens.
The symposium, which was designed to raise various development issues in Asia and Africa and to find solutions together, was a venue where 17 government officials from developing countries published and discussed papers in depth.

President of Handong Global University, Chang Soon-Heung mentioned in his opening remarks, "Handong Global University has opened its doors to students from developing countries who can effectively change the sufferings that developing countries are going through such as poverty, starvation, desease, and conflict. Our school plans to promote cooperation in education and research by establishing close ties with government and universities in developing countries." and he continued, "I hope that civil servants from developing countries will make positive changes in each country after they return to their countries."
Kim Young-Seop, the Head Graduate School of International Developmental Collaboration spoke in his opening speech "We hope that the research capabilities and results that the presenters have cultivated here will be used to advance the developing world," he continued, "I hope that the symposium on international development cooperation in Asia and Africa has been a good opportunity not only for the presenters but also for the professors and students present to think seriously about the development of a win-win situation."

This symposium had leader An JinWon of Internationalization Project, Kim Young-Seop the Head Graduate School of International Developmental Collaboration, Professor Edward A. Purnell and James T. Davis from International Law School, Professor Do, Myoung-Sool from School of Life Science, Professor Park, Hae-Kyeong from School of International Studies, Languages & Literature, Professor Han, Youn-Sik from School of Computer Science & Electrical Engineering, Professor Joh, Dae-Yeon from School of Management & Economics, etc to attend as evaluators and present various viewpoints and suggestions for improvement.
Dzeyewir Divine Nyuyki who was from Cameroon was aware of problems and lack of energy in the country and published a research paper suggesting a power generation system that integrates solar and plasma power to attain the sustainable energy.

Graduate Leeseromi who participated in this event spoke, " It was meaningful to be able to feel the minds of presenters from developing countries about their own progress, and it was a useful time to listen and learn based on the research results of strategies to solve problems that each country faced.

The symposium was held on two occasions in All Nations Hall No.414 in Handong Global University from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on 24th and 25th. Total of 60 presenters, evaluators, and audience members attended the symposium
* The Handong Global University’s Internationalization Business Group (ICT-based Global Creative Innovative Talent Promoting Foundation) was selected in July 2014 for a project to characterize local universities organized by the School of Management and Economics, School of International Studies, Languages and Literature, School of Spatial Environment System Engineering and Department of International Development and Cooperation to foster global talent for internationalization and innovation using ICT, to solve field-oriented learning programs.
