'CAE Mechanical Design Analysis' (Professor Lee Jong-Sun•Lee Eun-Ho), a course of Handong Global University's the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering, has received top award(Ministry of Education Minister Prize) at the 'Award Ceremony for Outstanding Case of Project Based Learning', which took place 8th of November.
The Linkplus Social-Specific Project-based Education Competition, hosted by the Korea Research Foundation, was held in a competition among 20 business groups focused on the Department of Social Customization and the Link Plus. The competition was held to introduce the curriculum and teaching methods of project-based classes and to share and spread cases of strengthening students’ abilities.

Under the theme of “Find a class that moves me!” Handong Global University participated in the even with the specific topic of “Seeing, touching, fixing and using difficult dynamics for creative design.”
'CAE Mechanical Design Analysis' focuses on developing students’ ability to understand dynamics and solve problems through the visual implementation of design and poster session using CAS and CAE programs.
Through these courses, students were able to improve their ability to perform graduation assignments, club activities, participate in competitions, and work as research assistants after taking courses. Based on this, they were able to participate in the self-driving electric car competition for national universities and win the prize for technical ideas for two consecutive years.

Lee, Hwan-Hee, a senior in the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering said, “I used theories and programs learned in the CAE class and get great ideas from the class.”
Professor Lee, Jong-Sun also added, “The School of Mechanical and Control Engineering has been practicing the Hands-On Practice and Project Based Lectures early on, and I am pleased that ‘CAE mechanical design analysis’, one of those lectures, has won the prize in this competition, and he continued, “We thank the professors in the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering who have been trying to establish the Project Based Lectures in our department and all the professors and staff members who are trying hard for the Link-Plus Project.”
