The ‘Love Marathon’ has not only been a one-off event but has been an occasion to spark community interest in the underprivileged, including the disabled.
"By making ‘Love Marathon’ run on the values of love, humility and service, an ethical code upheld by Handong Global University, and thus becoming a place of communication, the ‘Love Marathon’ hopes to extends to the entire city of Pohang, becoming the first step toward establishing the right culture in Korea together," said the ‘Love Marathon’ TFT of Handong Global University.
"I hope today will be a time of thinking and caring for friends, neighbors and us rather than ourselves," said Chang Soon-Heung, president of Handong Global University. "There is great strength and joy in the kindness, consideration, smile, praise, greeting that we can give our neighbors first, even if it’s not necessarily grandeur."
