Students, Inspire Interest in Unification
The students of Handong Global University (President Chang Soon Heung) visited the Korean Red Cross, a unification field institute, to celebrate the Unification Education Week of Ministry of Unification.
On the 23rd, the Student Government of Handong Global University visited the Korean Red Cross to receive a briefing on various issues related to unification including reunions of families separated, a conference between the South and North Korean Red Cross Societies, and humanitarian assistance, etc. Park Kyung-Seo, the chairman of the Korea Red Cross, conducted a lecture as well. In addition, students visited the video reunion room of separated families and the Red Cross History Room and had time to experience unification and inter-Korean exchanges.

Participant students said their visit helped them to specifically feel and prepare for unification.
On the other hand, Handong Global University was selected as the leading university for unification education in the Institute for Unification Education of Ministry of Unification in February.
As a result, Handong Global University will serve as a stronghold university of unification education in Gyeongbuk region for four years and provide a unification education platform to schools and local communities.
