On April 15, President Jang, Soon-Heung of Handong held a free snack night event to encourage students during the mid-term week at his own expense. About five hundred students enjoyed a snack called cup-bap. (‘Rice Cup’).
President Jang shared HGU’s education vision that Handong strives to focus on direct, problem-solving education rather than passive education.

President of Handong Student Council Ji Hyun Do said, “We really appreciate this annual event of encouraging students during the mid-term week, and I’m glad that we, the student council, can take part in encouraging our fellow students together. I hope this tradition will continue.”
For several years, President Jang, at his own expense, had planned such events to encourage students during exam periods. On the morning of March 5th, he also spent quality time with students during Handong’s ‘Breakfast with the President’ event.
