HGU students voluntarily participated in creating 2D beverage manual content for those with disabilities. This will be used as one of the learning tools for following beverage recipes, and is made available for viewing on desktop and smart phone devices.
An app called ‘V-rod’ was particularly designed in consideration of people with cognitive and developmental disabilities. It facilitates those acquiring recipes and operating coffee machines repeatedly. Hisbeans and KT will soon launch an English version of V-rod, and install it in the Queozon area of the Philippines later this year.
HGU has been supporting various programs for empowerment and independence of people with disabilities. On April 5, HGU launched an application called ‘Wheeliric.’ Wheeliric is developed based on a database including the location of accessible entrances, toilets, and parking spaces, as well as wheelchair ramps and sidewalk bumps.
Moreover, President Jang drew emphasis on ‘being able to identify the real problem’ and ‘being able to understand [the relationship between] technology and human beings,’ which is crucial in the fourth industrial revolution era.
