On 10th August, general assembly was held in Ban Ki-moon Institute of Global Education in support of UNAI marking the second half of 2019.
On this event, UNAI ASPIRE KOREA reported results on joint projects and individual project conducted by each branch institution of 10 different universities.
During the general assembly, 50 representatives from each 10 branch university including HGU, a secretariat institution of ASPIRE KOREA, made a presentation on the projects held during the first half of the 2019 and shared their opinions.
Kim Sung-hyuk in Economic and Management department from HGU said, “I really appreciate that through general assembly undergraduate students with interests in various global issues came together to discuss over improving the world a better place and how to take actions as young generations. It was a great opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in such discussion and to share inspiring ideas with each other.”
Meanwhile, IGE is the world’s first institution that provides education for sustainable peace and prosperity with the comprehensive global citizenship curriculum.
UNAI ASPIRE will continue to grow its influence by continually serving comprehensive and professional global citizenship education.
*UNAI Academic Impact ASPIRE is a voluntary branch institution of young students under the United Nation and initially started to serve detailed principles designated by UNAI in practical terms.
With the goal of impacting the world through education, the institution provides a wide range of activities cooperating with various institutions such as universities, civic groups, NGOs, government administrative bodies and many more both globally and domestically.
Since the inauguration of UNAI ASPIRE, UNAI ASPIRE Korea has actively involved in various projects. HGU was designated as the first Korean UNAI ASPIRE institution, marking the beginning as a secretariat institute. Since then, UNAI ASPIRE has increased its extent with the joining of 10 more branch universities including Korea University and Choong Ang University. Currently about 200 students are conducting various programs to solve global issues through voluntary service programs, academic studies, and many other campaigns.
